When we have our Eco-Home Open Houses for one week every 2 months, we sit by the front doors and listen to people all day long. Individuals from households and schools, staffers from nonprofits, businesses, governments, media… locals, and visitors to San Francisco from around the world, stop in to chat about environmental topics, challenges and ideas.  It’s invaluable!

Thus, we created The Hum Sum as an online extension of Matter of Trust’s interactive portal for public engagement. Then, as we love to avoid  reinventing a wheel. It made sense, since we were investing so much time and funds, to expand this out beyond our charity’s needs (wishlists, in-kind donations, services, events calendars, forums, questions, polls, research, commitments, reports…).  The result is a dedicated, useful, ecologically focussed, social media platform for all planet-friendly folk and organizations…
